Dreams and Regenetics

Hi all, I am in my 8 down. I have been having dreams. I get dreams almost every other night. Some dreams I remember but some I don't. Is there any way to remember them? I do remember them when I wake up sometimes in the night and waking up early in the morning. But when I want to remember it, to write or tell someone I forget. I try to remember them during the day, when at work. Sometimes I remember but most I don't. If there is anyway to remember let me know. Thankou.

  • Dear Sol,

Thankyou for the help. Yes it's difficult at times to know where one is, but I will try.
    Thankyou soo much.
  • If you can identify a locale, you can plot it and its corresponding dream on a dream map ...

  • Dear Sol,

Thankyou for your information on dreams. Yes I am already maintaining a ream journal. Last night I had a weird dream.
Yes, how would I map my location when I am asleep, I do not know how to do this.
    Thanks.

  • There are various techniques I'm aware of to help one remember dreams.

Many recommend journaling or writing down one's dreams immediately upon waking on a regular basis. Others suggest "mapping" one's locations in dreams to create a more easily recognizable context for the dreaming experience.

It's also possible to become more conscious of the dream while one is still dreaming--a phenomenon typically referred to as lucid dreaming.

Carlos Castaneda in his book JOURNEY TO IXTLAN devotes whole chapters to various strategies for engaging lucid dreaming--including looking at one's hands in the dream, looking away, then looking back at the hands repeatedly to establish a fixed reference point in dreams while everything else is changing.

I'm aware that this book, like the rest of Castaneda's, is primarily considered fiction today. But I still find Don Juan's teachings fascinating and at times helpful.

Speaking of fiction and dreams, you may or may not be aware that I'm in the process of releasing an entire novel on this subject: SNOOZE A STORY OF AWAKENING. You can read sample chapters, request a review copy or purchase the ebook or paperback at ...

Hope that helps a little--and sweet dreams! ;-)
